NVIDIA and Palantir connect supply-chain AI with scenario planning

NVIDIA and Palantir announced a supply-chain AI collaboration starting with NVIDIA’s own operations. The approach combines operational data, customized models and optimization to support materials allocation and scenario planning.

A network of supply nodes feeding an allocation hub with two alternative routes

NVIDIA’s September 10 announcement describes a collaboration with Palantir that brings Nemotron models into Foundry and AIP. NVIDIA says cuOpt supports constraint modeling and allocation scenarios, with supply-chain experts retaining final decision authority. The initial deployment focuses on NVIDIA’s own supply network.

CrateOS perspective

The practical question for an enterprise control tower is whether a recommendation survives real operating constraints. Compare allocations using the same demand assumptions, supplier commitments, inventory positions and capacity limits. Show which customer orders improve and which become exposed, together with the change in cost.

A useful pilot would replay one historical shortage, compare the proposed allocation with the actual response and record planner overrides. That establishes a decision baseline before extending automation across the network. The announcement describes an approach; it does not provide independently verified performance results.
