GXO and Exotec announced a Skypod installation at GXO’s Venlo facility in the Netherlands on September 17. The companies report 127 robots, 60,000 storage locations and eight picking stations, with daily processing of 40,000–70,000 pieces for Guess. These are supplier-reported operating figures.

CrateOS perspective

For a warehouse manager, the useful comparison is performance across the whole shift. A faster storage system can move the constraint into packing, replenishment or dispatch. Before sizing a similar investment, test seasonal order mixes against those downstream capacities and carrier cutoffs. Track completed orders, queue age and recovery after an interruption alongside robot utilization.

The release is evidence of a deployment, but it does not establish the return on investment for a different facility.
