GE Appliances Runs 800 Gemini Agents in Production

GE Appliances disclosed 800 Google AI agents now run across manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain. One of them cut backorders by 25% across more than 600 suppliers.

On April 22, GE Appliances disclosed that 800 Google AI agents now run across its manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain operations on Gemini Enterprise. One of those agents coordinates order status with more than 600 suppliers. It reduced backorders by 25%.

The second number is the one worth carrying into a planning conversation. Most agent reporting still trades in counts and demos. GE Appliances picked a high-volume coordination loop, instrumented the handoff, and published a falsifiable result. Operators evaluating managed automation should start where GE started: a loop the team can already measure, with a single owner accountable for the delta.
